HelixScreen 1.0.4
Released 2026-10-08. The short version of this release and the ones before it. The full changelog has every fix in every release.
- Happy Hare v4 support
- K2 filament cuts no longer drive the toolhead into the frame
- USB prints copy the file to the printer first
- Spoolman temperature, spool weight and active-spool fixes
- Fixes for crashes at boot with a labeled USB stick and when closing the macro wizard
- Saved brightness and screen rotation apply at startup
The second patch release on the 1.0 line.
Display sleep is fixed: panels that wedged, glowed or showed a test pattern on AD5X, U1, K1, K2 and Pi DSI now sleep by turning the backlight off, and the screen comes back properly on wake. Several crashes are gone, including the K1 blank-screen crash and crashes after a printer switch. QIDI printers get their .3mf thumbnails back.
The first patch release on the 1.0 line.
A Centauri Carbon is no longer identified as a Qidi. The pre-print screen learns each printer's real heating rate and stops claiming phases the printer has not reached. Filament colour and temperature edits stick, black included. Bed mesh profiles save under the name you chose.
K2 install and restore verify the boot link before offering a reboot, and ForgeX machines keep the display mode they arrived on.
The first stable release.
Everything your printer can do, on the screen already attached to it: a dashboard you arrange yourself, bed mesh and input shaper you can actually see, multi-material handling, and print history. It runs on the hardware you own.
80+ printers auto-detected. 9 languages. Nine platforms, from a printer's own MIPS panel to a Raspberry Pi.
Coming from 0.99, this is an ordinary update.
The fifth 1.0 release candidate. Highlights:
- Tapping an object in the preview outlines it in white instead of recolouring it
- A filament remap chosen before printing now sticks
- Dismissing a confirmation no longer strands the screen behind it
- One filament runout no longer stacks six notifications
- Dark filaments show real form instead of reading as a flat cut-out
- Installing an update no longer locks up the touchscreen
- AD5M printers on the Forge-X 1.4.2 mod keep working

A withdrawn release is one that shipped and was pulled. It stays on the list because deleting it would not make it not have happened.
